Philadelphia based Scottish Folk Rocker - Paul Saint John, has been writing and recording music since the early nineties, he was the founder of the 90s UK band - The Cottonfield, he is also an award winning songwriter.
Quitting the UK music scene and moving to the U.S. in 2000, he again picked up his guitar in 2013, now based in Philadelphia PA, he released the critically acclaimed album - Eleventeen, followed by two EPs and a handful of Singles. Playing Solo with just guitar and harmonica at the Philadelphia Folk Festival, New Jersey Folk Festival, and numerous other showcases, opening for the likes of Al Stewart, Saint John was gaining prominence as a Singer Songwriter on the East Coast. in 2016 due to personal and family illnesses that all stopped.
2020, brought Paul Saint John back from a hiatus for a second time, this time though, was with a band -
Paul Saint John and the Nighthawks, the band have been featured locally on WXPN, nationally on NPR, and Internationally on the BBC.
Forming in 2020 the band recorded two EPs - Whistles and Bells, released in May 2020, and Green Lights, released in December 2020.
September 2021 brought their Debut Album - Sometimes Never Late.
The band recorded a number of new songs in March 2022, with the first Single - Golden, released in May 22.
The band played the 60th Philadelphia Folk Festival in the summer of 2022.
The Fall of 2022 brought the last Single of the year - Am I Still High.
September 2023 brought the Single - Queenie. The bands Sophomore album - Over The Silver Ceiling, was released in January 2024.
