Biography.................................Hailing from the East Coast of Scotland, Paul Saint John is an Award Winning Singer Songwriter who quit the UK music business in the late nineties then relocated to the United States. After a 15 year hiatus from music he started performing live again in the Summer of 2013, now a well known name on the Philadelphia Music scene due to his powerful live performances and intelligent and catchy songwriting. His songs have been featured nationwide on syndicated radio networks, Radio stations and Music blogs throughout Europe and North America,and worldwide on internet radio, as well as on promotional release's for Music Festivals, and Music Conference's. His Folk Rock sound is a touch of old school Bob Dylan mixed with the uniqueness of The Kinks and the raw power of The Tallest Man on Earth. Paul Saint John has performed at many  premiere music venues in the Philadelphia region

and at various Music Conferences and Festivals throughout the East Coast.  Eleventeen, his debut album was released in August 2013. Eleventeen,

made Popa's Tunes Top 10 Albums of

2013. This was followed by the upbeat

single Finn McCool, released in February

2014.

 The EP - Panic Merchant, was released in October 2014, a stripped down four song EP

recorded Live on vintage equipment at

Kawari Sound. It has been played

on the nationally syndicated Radio show -

Kings Horses from Eleventeen was on the

April 2015 Compilation Folk America from Altco Recordings ). November 2015 brought regional awareness to his songwriting with the opening slot for Legendary UK Songwriter Al Stewart at a packed out Colonial Theater in Phoenixville PA. January 2016 brought the release of his 2nd EP - By Industry We Flourish.

2016 began a four year hiatus from music due to serious personal injury, and a family illness.
January 2020, brings Paul back, this time with a full band...The Nighthawks....

Paul Saint John and the Nighthawks first release was the single - Carry On, in January 2020, followed by some Live Sold Out shows, and then, ......... the pandemic stopped the world.  The band continued to write and record.

The EP - Whistles and Bells, was released to critical acclaim in May 2020. ( Nominated for Album of the Year at Blues and Roots Radio ).

Following on the band released the EP Green Lights on December 1st 2020. Battling through the pandemic like every other band, the band recorded their debut album - Sometimes Never Late, which was released in September 2021.
Prior to that, on July 4th of 2021 the band release their single - Sideshow Queen, on all music platforms, "an ear worm of a song that gives a great introduction to the bands debut album sound.

In August

2021, the band released its second single - Running.

Prior to the Album release, NPR picked up the bands song - Man On Fire, and used it for one of their promotional videos for their world famous Tiny Desk Contest. 

In February 2022, the band would release the final Single from the album - Sometimes Never Late, the Single - 20th Century Song, which was remixed by Test Brain, and is available on all music platforms.

March 2022 brought the band back to NPRs Tiny Desk Contest, again NPR loved the bands entry, - Golden, which  made the"Best Of " list for 2022.

February and March brought the band back into the studio, four songs were recorded, - Golden, IDKWDII, Am I Still High, and Everybody's Haunted.

The band released - Golden, on May 6th to coincide with their live performance at the Philadelphia Folksong Society.

The  band then performed at the 2022 Philadelphia Folk Festival. 

The fall of 2022 brought another Single release - Am I Still High. The band finished of the year of with the first of a three show show Residency at The Royal, highlighting some of their new material for 2023.

The new year started with the second show of the residency on January 14th.

The band then went into a performance hiatus in February of 2023 due to another serious injury to Paul, the band did record its 2nd album, Over The Silver Ceiling,  Before that dropped, the bands next Single - Queenie, which was released in September 2023.

The Sophomore Album - Over The Silver Ceiling, was released in late January 2024. The band will then release a cover of Whiskey in the Jar ( a live favorite ) in March 2024.
